Last weekend my girlfriend and I visited Snæfellsnes peninsula - great weather the whole time.
We enjoyed a family picnic at Löngufjörur, some people even swam in the ocean which is about 8-12°C !
It is possible to go horseback riding on one of the many beaches that are in this area or if you are more for motor sports ATV trips are also available.
