Early in August I travelled along South Iceland. On a sunny morning we stopped at Dyrhólaey to observe the beautiful nature and bird life, in particular a colony of puffins which seemed to be as curious about their human observers as we were about them.  A couple more days on the cliffs and then they fly off to the sea where they will stay on the ocean over winter.
