The pictures below are taken last weekend, when my girlfriend and I drove to Húsavík & Mývatn for just one night.
We stayed the night in a cozy cabin at Kaldbakskot (just outside of Húsasvík).
After we checked in with the owners of the cabin, we drove off again in search of "Ostakarið" - outdoor hot tub close to the ocean. On a good clear day one can see Grímsey Island!
The next morning we drove to Mývatn enjoying every moment of the beautiful scenery in this nature paradise Mývatn is! Before heading back home to Akureyri we stopped at the Mývatn lagoon for a refreshing time in the nature baths.
